Ranger Buddies is a programme offering an ecosystem of experiences that empowers children to be future-ready global citizens through fun and exciting missions. The programme builds confidence, C.O.U.R.A.G.E. strengths and a desire to spark change for themselves, others and the Earth.

Within the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, children who are part of the Ranger Buddies programme can enjoy a series of exclusive promotions and campaigns across Retail and F&B.

Ranger Buddies proudly originates from Singapore and aims to inspire change in the region and the world.

1.2 Is Ranger Buddies recommended for all ages?

Ranger Buddies is designed for children aged 4 to 10 years old. Many parents have shared that families thoroughly enjoy participating in the mission activities together and bonding in the process.

1.3 What is Ranger Buddies Quest?

Ranger Buddies Quest is a unique interactive in-park experience that engages children in missions to learn more about animals while visiting Singapore Zoo and River Wonders. Children can rent a pair of smart binoculars and explore missions to discover how to care for animals and nature.

2. Benefits of Ranger Buddies

2.1 What are the benefits when my child becomes a Ranger Buddy?

Ranger Buddies can enjoy daily missions that impart social-emotional skills and learn how to care for others and the world. Parents and children can complete these missions together at home, in our wildlife parks, and at various partner locations around Singapore and beyond.

2.2 What are the C.O.U.R.A.G.E. strengths?

C.O.U.R.A.G.E. stands for being Curious, Optimistic, Undaunted, Resourceful, Adaptable, Gritty and Empathetic. These are the seven character strengths that Ranger Buddies use to take positive action for themselves, others and the world.

3. Ranger Buddies Membership

3.1 Do I have to pay to be a member of Ranger Buddies?

Ranger Buddies is a free-to-join children’s programme that gives you access to regular missions and animal-related content. You may choose to purchase our Ranger Buddies merchandise such as the Buddy Journal or Ranger Buddy Vest at the Singapore Zoo retail shop to add more fun to your experience.

4.1 Where can I buy Ranger Buddies merchandise other than the E-store?

Ranger Buddies merchandise is available in the Singapore Zoo retail shop and the KidzWorld retail shop.

4.2 Where do I purchase the Ranger Buddies Vest?

Our Ranger Buddies vest is available for purchase at the Singapore Zoo retail shop as well as on Lazada and Shopee.

5.1 I’d love to engage with the Ranger Buddies programme at my school. Do you work with schools?

Thank you for your interest.
